Can we consider cryptocurrency to sky rocket, with the new year approaching (2018)?

This is one of the questions that no one should have definite answer if asked in early 2017.

Different people predicts differently. A stock is considered skyrocketing if it advances 100% or more in a year. So far in 2017, we’ve seen Bitcoin rose and pulled back a couple times. In general, it had risen 10+ folds this year along.

By looking back, BTC already skyrocketed. The question is, will it sustains?
